About the Award: One full Oxford Patrick Duncan Graduate scholarship is available for applicants who are ordinarily resident in one of the member states of the Southern African Development Community and who are applying to the full-time MSc African Studies.

The Oxford Patrick Duncan Graduate scholarship is only tenable at St Antony’s College. All eligible applicants will be considered for this scholarship, regardless of which college (if any) you state as your preference on the graduate application form. However, successful applicants will be transferred to St Antony’s College in order to take up the scholarship.
Selection Criteria: Preference will be given to applicants with an interest in sustainable development in Africa, including social and economic dimensions, but especially environmental issues.

Value of Scholarship: The scholarship covers course fees, college fees and a grant for living costs.
Duration of Oxford Patrick Duncan Graduate Scholarship: Awards are made for the full duration of your fee liability for the agreed course.
How to Apply: There is no separate application process for this scholarship: to be considered, submit your application for graduate study by the relevant January deadline. Selection is expected to take place by mid-March May 2023.
