About the Award: The AHIA Healthcare Innovation Conference is a multi-phase program that consists of a three-day summer conference and ongoing advice from leading professionals in science, business, and law.
A limited number of Innovation Teams will be selected to receive ongoing advice to help transition innovations from the laboratory to market. This may involved additional travel to meet with industry professionals or potential investors.
AT THE CONFERENCE: Innovation Teams consisting of scientists and students are formed for each technology. The Innovation Teams collaborate for the entirety of the conference to create a development plan and tackle some of the most pressing challenges facing African healthcare systems.
