About the Award: Rebook Africa Creative Writing Fellowship is a one year program created to help teenagers between the ages 15 – 19 develop their competencies in writing poetry, prose, plays, song lyrics, graphic novels, and other genres. It is an opportunity for these teenagers to grow and become professional writers who would use their work to transform our communities in Africa.

The fellowship will teach students to harness creativity effectively with variety of workshops and projects, and expose them to writing contests. Their works would also have the opportunity to be featured in popular magazines and journals across the world.

Only teenagers who reside in Lagos would be recruited into the first cohort.

Quality Mentorship: Rebook Africa would maintain a pool of thought leaders, best selling authors and experts from Africa who would volunteer their time and effort to mentor fellows, and lead them to becoming great writers.
Exciting Opportunities: Fellows would be exposed to exciting opportunities and contests. Through this, they would have the opportunity to compete with their counterparts from all over the world.
