The Czech Republic Embassy in Cairo launches a photography contest for all amateur photographers.

About the Award: Join in and seize the diversity of the Egyptian women in their daily lives and chores . The jury will value the originality and uniqueness of the captured moment in the life of an Egyptian woman.

Type: Contest
Eligibility:
- Size of photos: 30 cm x 30 cm
- Maximum of three pictures per person.
- Participants must be at least 18 years of age
- Each contestant can send a maximum of three pictures (printed copy 30 x 30 cm; digital file of each photo on USB in highest possible quality; pictures should be originals and not manipulated)
- On a separate sheet of paper: full name of the author, nationality, age, telephone number and email address; name of the picture and where it was taken
- Any application not respecting these criteria will not be eligible
- No photographic entries will be returned to participants, selected winners will be notified by email
Value and Number of Awards:
- Prizes will be awarded to the three best images
- Twenty-four best pictures will be exhibited during the national day of the Czech Republic in October 2018 and their authors invited to the official state reception. The exhibition will also be shown to the public in the Czech Republic in 2019.
- Selected pictures will be used for a 2019 “Women of Egypt” calendar
How to Apply: The envelopes marked with the words “Women of Egypt” containing the hard copies, the USB and information paper should be sent or delivered in hand to:
