About the Award: This Mellon Foundation-funded project seeks to encourage innovative studies drawing on the Archive and Counter-archive of resistance to colonialism, segregation and apartheid. Research should explore the relations of the South African state with its subjects and citizens from the early twentieth century to the present day.
Successful applicants will join a vibrant community of researchers at UP and engage with Pretoria’s rich archival repositories and collections.
