10. University of Winnipeg President’s Scholarships
Every year, University of Winnipeg scholarships are given to international students entering any of the University’s divisions for the first time from Undergraduate, Graduate, Collegiate, Professional, Applied and Continuing Education (PACE) to the English Language Program (ELP). The Award is a partial tuition waiver of CAD$3500 and is at the number 10 position.
9. Carleton University Richard J. Van Loon Scholarships
This scholarship of CAD$5000 is given specially to an outstanding international student from an African country every year. Makes the list because the scholarship is open to either undergraduate or graduate students.
8. MasterCard Foundation Scholarships
MasterCard Foundation and Canadian universities through an agreement admitted African Students on Scholarships for 8 years, beginning in 2012. The Scheme for undergraduate and masters students in Africa will end next year 2020 if it is not renewed. The scholarships has awarded fully-funded undergraduate and Master’s scholarships into schools like McGill University and the University of Toronto. 7. Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program at University of Toronto
In the 2019/2020 academic session, the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships was awarded to up to 37 secondary school students. The scholarship is offered in the University of Toronto and covers tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support.
6. York University Global Leader of Tomorrow Scholarships
The York University scholarship is a full-tuition scholarship to outstanding international students going in for undergraduate studies. The scholarship is worth CAD$20,000 for 4 years. Imagine your tuition covered for all four years of your stay. All you need now is to make up for other expenses such as living expenses.
5. University of British Columbia’s International Leader of Tomorrow:
sAward recognizes international students who demonstrate top academic achievement, leadership skills, involvement in student affairs and community service, recognized achievement in performing arts, sports, debating or creative writing, or external academic competitions and examinations. The scholarship covers a student’s cost of tuition, fees and living costs, minus the financial contribution the student and their family can make annually towards these costs.
4. Margaret McNamara Educational Grants for Women:
About $15,000 Education grants are given every year to women from developing and middle-income countries who, after obtaining their degree, agree to return to or remain in their countries, or other developing countries, and work to improve the lives of women and/or children. This scholarship awards numerous scholarships to women every year and so, it makes our number 3 position.
3. Quebec Government Scholarships:
The Quebec government, one of the provincial governments in Canada offers scholarships and grants for doctoral research to international students. The Scholarship plans to encourage international students in beginning or pursuing doctoral studies in Québec and provides financial support to leading international Ph.D. candidates in the natural sciences, mathematics and engineering fields.
2. Francophonie Scholarship Program (CFSP) for Francophonie Developing Countries:
This scholarship by the Canadian Government offers international students from French-speaking countries admission for university studies leading to a master’s and doctoral degree, or for technical and vocational training, or for short-term internships. All costs are covered by this scholarship.
