Evidence in Governance and Politics (EGAP) invites scholars based in academic or research institutions in sub-Saharan Africa and working on issues related to governance, accountability, or political participation to apply for a 4-month fellowship at the University of California, Berkeley, to be completed during the Fall 2020 (August – December) or Spring 2021 (January – May) semester.

About the Award: The EGAP Visiting Fellowship seeks to offer social scientists from sub-Saharan Africa the time and resources needed to focus on producing high-quality, quantitative research evaluating innovations in governance, accountability, and political participation. The primary goal of the fellowship will be for the fellow to develop a paper, based on the fellow’s research, suitable for submission to a high-level academic journal.
Each Fellow will be paired with a faculty mentor affiliated with the Evidence in Governance and Politics (EGAP) research network. EGAP is a network of approximately 200 researchers and practitioners committed to the use of quantitative and experimental research methods to evaluate governance and accountability innovations.
