The Open University’s Geography Department seeks applications from candidates who want to undertake a 3-year fully-funded PhD on mobility, conflict and education in Africa. 

Application Deadline: 10th June, 2020 – 17:00

About the Award: This studentship is attached to the AHRC funded Network Plus project on Decolonising Peace education in Africa, which aims to explore how to deliver locally meaningful quality education for peace in Africa. The studentship offers flexibility, allowing the student to define the scope of the research within the broad aims of the project and in consultation with the supervisors.

Eligibility:

  • Those with a Masters in Research Methods, a relevant undergraduate degree and interest in the topic of educational mobility and conflict are invited to apply.
  • International students are eligible but please note the implications of travel restrictions for start dates.
