The Department of Marine and Fisheries Sciences in collaboration with the Royal Society of London and African Academy of Sciences through the Future Leaders-African Independent Research (FLAIR Fellowships has begun a two-year research project.

Application Deadline: 10th July 2020.

About the Award: The Fishing for the Future Project (F4F) which seeks to understand how changing climate coupled with environmental pollution are likely to affect current and future populations of C. tulipa and C. gasar and their fisheries at large.

Eligibility: Applicants must generally qualify for admission into MPhil programme at the University of Ghana. In addition, applicants must:

  1. Have a good undergraduate degree in marine or fisheries science, environmental science, environmental chemistry, physical science or natural resources management.
  2. Submit: cover letter, academic transcripts, statement of motivation, maximum 4 paged research proposal.
  3. Candidate should have applied to pursue MPhil in Marine or Fisheries Science in the Department of Marine and Fisheries Sciences of the University of Ghana starting September 2020.

All shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview after the closing dates. Females are particularly encouraged to apply.
