As part of the ‘Reach & Teach Science in Africa’ initiative, the JR Biotek Foundation is pleased to offer a virtual world-class scientific teaching workshop to equip Africa-based researchers and students with knowledge on important bio-scientific concepts and laboratory techniques.

About the Award: The next virtual lecture titled ‘Protein Purification: Principles, Methods and Applications’ will take place on Zoom on Friday, 14th August 2020 from 11 – 1 pm London time (BST). The course will cover the following topics:
– Introduction of protein purification – Basics of classical chromatography
– How to develop a protein purification strategy – Introduction to CiPP concept
– Application examples
– Developing a new purification protocol
– Purification tools
– Q&A session
The lecture will be taught by Dr. Stephan Pötsch, Senior Application Specialist in Protein Sciences at Cytiva (formerly GE Healthcare Life Sciences) in Berlin.
