  • are from non-EU/EEA countries and
  • are apply to study any of the eligible fields of study.

Process of Admission

The following steps are required for you to apply for the scholarship:

  • Apply for your master’s programme through the University Admission. If there is an application fee, make sure you pay it.
  • The basis for the scholarship selection will be on the previous academic performance or experience as described in your CV and your ability to motivate social engagement through your selected programme of studies at Malmo University.
  • You will be notified by mid-May if you are offered a scholarship.

2. The Chevening Scholarships

The UK government offers Chevening Scholarships to students all over the world who have outstanding academic results and could demonstrate very strong leadership potential.

  • Have completed the BSc degree and is pursuing a master’s degree at any UK university by the time of the submission of the application;
  • Have graduated with a 2:1 or its equivalence, depending on the university of graduation;
  • Have at least 2 years of work experience. This is an equivalence of 2,800 working hours; and
  • Applied for three different eligible university courses with an unconditional offer of study.

3. Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships

The Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships is open to international students from low and middle income countries. The countries must belong to the Commonwealth countries for the applicant to be qualified.

4. Swedish Institute Study Scholarships for Global Professionals

The Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs invites applicants from selected countries of the world to apply for the Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals in the 2021/22 academic session. The scholarship award is strictly for prospective master’s students to study full-time in Sweden.

It is a highly competitive scholarship and only 2 – 6% of the total applicants are selected. As an applicant, you are to meet specific English Language criteria in other to be able to study in the country.

The scholarship aims to build capacities that would lower risks of disasters as well as contribute to a more enhanced public health-based relief after a disaster.

Benefits of the Scholarship

  • €1000 for travel costs awarded each year to each scholarship holder resident of a Programme Country.
  • Residents of a Partner Country located less than 4000 kilometers from the EMMC coordinating HEI will receive €2000 per year for travel costs and €1000 for installation costs. Those residing 4000 kilometers or more from the EMMC coordinating HEI will receive €3000 per year for travel costs and €1000 for installation costs.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Study a full-time course
  • Not hold another scholarship for the same joint course for the length of the study period
  • Not be more than three from the same country.
  • Hold a primary degree in fields that are related to Health, Management and Administration or Social Sciences.

7. MasterCard Foundation Scholarships

MasterCard, in conjunction with universities around the world, offers full scholarship to prospective master’s students from Sub-Saharan Africa. Applicants must be financially challenged, yet excellent in academic performance. This is to foster the development of future Sub-Saharan African leaders and entrepreneurs.

Benefits of the scholarship

  • The scholarship is fully funded
  • Candidates are provided with a comprehensive support network that ranges from mentorship, support services community services and employment opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must:

  • Have never completed any graduate studies;
  • Hold an admission to study one of the eligible programmes at McGill University;
  • Be nominated by a professor of a McGill University or MasterCard Foundation Partner University;
  • Be a citizen of and have spent the major part of his life in Sub-Saharan Africa;
  • Intend to go back to his country upon the completion of his studies, with the aim of transforming his community economically and socially;
  • Be an active member of the school with proof of record;
  • Demonstrate a financially incapacitated state.

The students are advised to request nomination from the department, with relevant documents.

8. Oxford University Nicholas Bratt Graduate Scholarship for International Students in the UK

The Nicholas Bratt Graduate Scholarship, together with the University of Oxford offers scholarships to applicants for the 2012/22 academic session.

Applicants must be applying for any taught or research course offered by the Medical Science Division and accepted at St. John’s College.

The scholarship is a fully-funded scholarship award that covers for tuition fee and costs of living. This covers for the full duration of the programme.

Eligibility Criteria
