Standard Chartered Women in Technology Incubator Kenya Program : Standard Chartered in partnership with Strathmore University @iBizAfrica incubator is inviting Kenyan female entrepreneurs for its Women in Technology Incubator.

  2. Pitch Preparation Bootcamp: Thursday, 8th June to Friday, 9th June 2023
  3. Pitches: Monday, 12th June to Thursday, 15th June
  4. Top 15 Notification: Tuesday, 20th June 2023
  5. Top 15 Incubation: Monday, 26th June to Friday, 13th October 2023
  6. Cohort 6 & Alumni Townhalls: October & November 2023
  7. Demo Day and Top 7 Award Ceremony: Wednesday, 22nd November 2023
  8. Acceleration Phase: Post Incubation Support for Cohort 6 Top 15

The program combines world class startup support with local and international experience to provide Africa’s most competitive and attractive startup incubation program focusing on immersive learning, mentorship, building and growing Africa’s next iconic startups taking on the continent’s most relevant challenges and opportunities.

Type: Entrepreneurship

Eligibility: For Standard Chartered Women in Technology Incubator Kenya Program, We are seeking to recruit the best entrepreneurial minds, women-lead startup teams leveraging on technology as a key driver of innovation in business. The applicant must:

  1. be a woman
  2. be the CEO with equal or majority ownership in the company
  3. 18 and above
  4. of Kenyan nationality

Criteria:

  1. The business must be based in Kenya i.e. be aligned with the needs of Kenyans and operating in Kenya
  2. The company must be a tech-enabled and/or leveraging on emerging technologies, including but not limited to; Internet of Things (IoT); Artificial Intelligence; Robotics; Augmented & Virtual Reality; 3D & 4D Printing; Cloud Computing; Big Data; Blockchain; Drone Technology and Biometrics. 
  3. The company must be founded or co-founded by a woman with an equal or majority stake.
  4. The founder or co-founder must be over 18 years old and Kenyan
  5. The business model must have a clear focus on sustainability and alignment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  6. 3 months to less than 5 years of operations.
  7. Seeking support for proof of concept, customer, product, and business model development.
  8. Pre-revenue with early traction (users).
  9. Post revenue is an added advantage, with the creation of a new business module.
