THET is pleased to announce the launch of the first wave of Small Grants for UK Partnerships for Health Systems (UKPHS).

About the Award: In this wave, THET welcomes grant applications from Health Partnerships in any low- and lower middle-income country in Sub-Saharan Africa or Southeast Asia addressing specific clinical and health system challenges through one, or several, of the themes below:
- Innovation
- Gender Equality and/or Social Inclusion
- Climate Change
- Blended and Remote LearningÂ

Eligibility: All those considering applying should carefully read the eligibility and funding criteria contained in the Call for Applications and Q&A document as these may differ from previous THET grant streams.
This grants round will accept applications from both new and established partnerships, including those that have an existing UKPHS grant, but applicants should read carefully the guidelines around the differences in application process for the different partnership models.
All projects under this programme should address specific clinical and health system challenges through one, or several, of the following themes: innovation; gender equality and/or social inclusion (GESI); climate change; blended and remote learning. Projects that do not address one or more of these themes will not be considered.

Value of Award: Grants of up to £50,000 are available. All funded projects are expected to last between 12 and 18 months. Project activities will be implemented from September 2021 until February 2023.
