Harvard University Aspire Emerging Leaders Program 2023 for Students from Asia, Middle East and Africa (Fully-funded)

About the Award: Aspire Institute’s mission is to transform the lives of young adults worldwide who are currently underserved through a fully funded leadership development program that catalyzes our leaders of tomorrow to make a positive impact in their communities.

Type: Short course/Training

Eligibility: This program is for students who are from backgrounds of social and financial adversity. All applicants must meet the following criteria:
• 18-26 years old
• Low-income background
• First-generation to attend university (parent(s) and/or primary caregiver(s) did not complete a bachelor’s level degree)
• Enrolled in an undergraduate program or recently graduated (within three years)
OR
• Education impacted by a natural disaster and/or armed conflict (i.e. refugees or displaced persons)

Number of Awards: up to 60 students

Value of Award: Participants will gain exposure to a variety of experiences, such as a self-paced and live seminars and courses led by world-class faculty, case-study discussion groups, and mentorship and grant opportunities. This extensive, multidisciplinary curriculum has been curated by Harvard faculty. Most uniquely, alumni current Leaders-in-Training will connect with a diverse, hard-working, and talented group of future leaders spanning continents and intellectual curiosities.
