Studying biology either as a bachelor’s, master’s, or at another postgraduate level, the science field opens up a lot of career opportunities from which you can choose. Biology is a broad science field that encompasses the medical field and other human anatomy-related studies.

Wanting to study without the right form of financial budget or support can be draining and discouraging. There are many scholarships and financial aid which are made open to students at different stages; be it at the bachelor or postgraduate levels.

In this article, we intend to help students pursue their dreams of studying abroad in their desired institution by getting scholarships suitable for their needs without the worry of financial stability which of course is the cause of many students not getting a chance to study.

Difference Between Scholarship and Other Forms of Financial Aid

Scholarships are a form of student financial aid which are not meant to be paid back. The student grant is also like the scholarship since it is not refundable, but the major difference is that the student grant is solely based on the financial needs of the applicant while, scholarships are awarded depending on different types of criteria which can be merit-based, financial needs, athletic prowess, academic performance and so on. The applicant must show proof of financial difficulty and inability to be able to pay the university fees.

Another type of financial aid for students is the student loan, but unlike the grant and scholarship, the student loan needs to be paid back after a long period when the student has the means of refunding the loan. This usually discourages a lot of people from getting student loans due to the interest rate.
