UNCTAD eTrade for Women Masterclass 2022 for Women Digital Entrepreneurs in Eastern Africa

The UNCTAD eTrade for Women Masterclass will be held online on 31 August – 2 September 2021 and is open to women digital entrepreneurs based in the Eastern Africa region.

About the UNCTAD eTrade for Women Masterclass:

Digital transformation offers growth opportunities for African businesses, but women entrepreneurs still face obstacles to successfully grow their businesses. The eTrade for Women initiative, championed by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), invites women entrepreneurs in the digital and e-commerce sector to the next Masterclass for Francophone Africa. The Masterclass is organized in partnership with Birame Sock, Founder and CEO of Kwely, and eTrade for Women Advocate. Sessions will take place online, in French, on 5-7 October 2022.

In order to apply to the Masterclass, you need to meet the following requirements:

• You are a woman and you are the founder/co-founder of your business
• You have a track record of 2 to 5 years in this role
• New technologies and digital tools are at the heart of your business model and operations
• You are based in one of the following countries : Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo-Brazzaville (Republic of Congo), Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Gabon, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, Togo
• You want to make a difference and impact your ecosystem​
