Tell Me About Award: We are excited to announce the fully funded African Youth Summit 2023! In partnership with the ATKV, Global Changemakers will be hosting our second Africa Regional Summit in Cape Town, South Africa from 17-20 October 2023.​

Changemakers aged 21-28 years old from or living in Africa working to create positive impact in their communities will be invited to attend a life-changing week of skills development, networking and capacity building alongside 50 of Africa’s most impactful young leaders. After the summit they will join an international network of over 1200 Changemakers from around the world and become eligible to apply for grant funding to scale and amplify their impact.

Who can Apply? Changemakers aged 21-28 from or living in Africa who are working to create positive change in their communities are welcomed to apply. More on the eligibility here.
How are Applicants Selected? Changemakers are selected through a competitive 3 part selection process and we will accept applications until midnight Central African Time on 10 June 2023.

How Many Awards? Not specified
What is the Benefit of Award? International flights from your country’s main airport, transport within South Africa, accommodation and meals will be covered for the duration of the event for the selected changemakers. More on the funding here.

Due to travel arrangements and potential visa processes, the deadline for applicants living outside of South Africa is 10 June 2023.

If you are currently living in South Africa and will therefore be travelling to the summit from within South Africa (no matter your nationality), please apply using the option below. For Changemakers selected from South Africa, the summit will be the start of a leadership programme by the ATKV.
