1. Business Administration (PhD)

Business administration is also known as business management and it entails all of the aspects that oversee and supervises the business operations of an organization. The goal of a Doctor in Business Administration degree is to prepare students to meet the growing needs of the fast-changing business environment, enhance the skills needed to advance the practice of business in the growing global economy, enhance research in this area, and finally bring a balance to the pursuit of high impact business practices. 

2. Business Analytics (MSc)

This is another management course in the STEM field. It deals with the skills, practices, and technologies that are necessary for understanding and analyzing past business performances to gain insight and enhance business planning. It is centered on developing new insights and understanding business performances solely based on data and statistical methods. 

3. Financial Technology (Fintech) (MSc)

A Master’s in Financial Technology (FinTech) is another management course in the STEM field. Students learn how to use new technologies to compete with traditional financial methods in the delivery of financial services. Professionals with this degree can work in FinTech startups. The four key areas of Fintech include artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud computing, and data. An example of the services they render includes the use of smartphones for mobile banking, cryptocurrency, and borrowing services. 

4. Information Technology (MSc)

Information technology involves the study, design, development, implementation, testing, and support of all applications of computing and communication technologies that are used to solve the emerging challenges that are present in today’s business, industry, or government environments. Additionally, students will examine the necessary theories, the effective practices in the industry, and new technologies for creating business value by adopting innovation with UX. 

6. MSc in Management

Masters in Management is a postgraduate academic degree that provides general management and organization knowledge. It is kind of similar to a Master of Business Administration that is available for graduates who have a diverse disciplinary background with no professional business experience and who want to start a management career. The course entails relevant management skills like analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

7. MS in Marketing

This is equally another management course in the STEM field.  It is a graduate degree that equips students to work in middle-management-and-above marketing positions. The specific field the student wants to specialize in is dependent on the preference of the student, their program, and the firm in which they want to work. Some of the fields include brand management, digital marketing, integrated marketing communication, marketing analytics and research, marketing strategy, pricing strategy, and many others.

 8. Master of Finance

Master of Finance course emphasis on quantitative topics and sometimes non-quantitative elective coursework. This includes areas like corporate governance, business ethics, and business strategy. This type of program can last for about one or two years of study and is often offered as a non-thesis degree. 10. MS in Economics

11. MBA in Operations and Technology Management

(OTM) is the acronym for Operations and Technology Management and it entails gaining skills in the areas of operations management, IT management, and data analytics. Students who study this course will learn the skills needed to manage and improve business operations through the integrated use of theories and methods from both operations management and information technology management. Additionally, they can pursue different roles in the labor market like Operations, IT, and Analytics fields.

12. Business Statistics

Business statistics focuses on helping companies understand their current state and predict where they will be in the future. They help organizations save money by identifying new opportunities and ventures that can improve their efficiency and effectiveness. They adopt the use of statistics to model sales patterns to enable establishments to make the right decisions. 

13. Actuarial Science

14. Management Sciences and Quantitative Methods.

Management science and quantitative methods focus on developing knowledge, skills, and experience in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math as applied to management in business, government, and not-for-profit organizations.

15. Operations and Supply Chain Analytics (MS)

Operations and Supply Chain Analytics is a STEM management course that prepares students for a career in managing the global demands, distributions, and fulfillment of goods and services. Students are equipped with project management techniques necessary to design and manage an effective supply chain while understanding how to create excellence in your operations and processes.

Eligibility Criteria to Study STEM in the US

The eligibility criteria to study STEM in U.S. universities vary based on different factors. Some of these factors include the course you are going in for, the school, and the type of program among others. However, the generally acceptable requirements include: 

  • For the bachelor’s degree program in STEM, it is necessary to complete your high school education first. You must also pass chemistry, physics, biology, and mathematics. For the master’s level, you need to have a bachelor’s degree in any STEM field with a CGPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Students must possess a F-1 USA student visa.
  • Students should be eligible for STEM OPT
  • GRE or GMAT and English language proficiency tests like TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE are necessary.
