The Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships at Newcastle University for international students: Thirteen Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships are available to deserving candidates. They have to apply to Newcastle University for full-time undergraduate study.

Two scholarships cover 100% of the tuition fee and eleven cover up to 50%.

Eligibility criteria for The Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships

50% scholarships

Applicants for up to 50% of the scholarships must:

  • be domiciled in one of the following countries: India, Kenya, Malaysia, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, Ukraine, or the USA.
  • be assessed as international for fee purposes:
  • hold an offer for an eligible full-time undergraduate degree program at the university’s Newcastle City Center campus for the 2024–25 academic year.
  • already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent.

We will assess eligible candidates according to:

  • evidence of academic ability
  • evidence of commitment to studies
  • quality of application

100% scholarships

Applicants for the 100% scholarship must:

  • be domiciled in one of the following countries: India, Ukraine, or the USA.
  • be assessed as international for fee purposes.
  • hold an offer for an eligible full-time undergraduate degree program at the university’s Newcastle City Center campus for the 2024–25 academic year.
  • already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent.

  • evidence of academic ability
  • evidence of commitment to studies
  • quality of application
