For Nigerian university students, the Sani Bello Foundation Scholarship Program is a ray of hope that provides a crucial financial lifeline to individuals who are struggling to pay for their tuition. The Sani Bello Foundation’s dedication to promoting academic excellence and expanding educational access is exemplified by this scholarship program.
The Sani Bello Foundation Scholarship Program is one of the numerous initiatives the organization has put in place to assist Nigeria’s postsecondary students who are struggling to cover their tuition costs.
For current recipients, as long as they have maintained the requisite CGPA as listed below, the scholarship is renewed year-over-year until graduation; new applicants are encouraged to apply during their second year of study.

Requirements
All applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicant MUST be a registered student in a known tertiary institution within Nigeria and MUST be a full time student. Part time applicants are not eligible.
- Applicant from private institution or foreign institution/country is not eligible.
- Applicant must be in his/her second year at the time of application.
- Applicant must possess a minimum qualification of FIVE (5) credits in either WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB including MATHS & ENGLISH LANGUAGE not more than two sittings.
- Applicants must possess minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0
- Applicant MUST be a full time student. Part time applicants are not eligible
- Civil servants are not eligible.
- Applicant MUST bring a copy of ALL credentials (as stated above), online registration printout, Admission letter, School Identity printout or valid means of school identification and photocopy of departmental course registration forms on or before 1st of March, 2024.

The applicant must be an Indigene within Zone C, Niger State, either by
- Origin
- Birth
- Having parents or guardians stay in Kontagora for 15 years and above
Selection Process
Screening of the applicant starts as soon as the above-mentioned materials are submitted. Because of this, it is recommended that applicants submit their documentation in person.
Application Documents
To apply, candidates must prepare and submit the following documents, showcasing their eligibility and academic credentials:
- Proof of Identity: A birth certificate or Declaration of Age.
- Local Community Connection: A Local Government Indigene Letter.
- Academic Records: O-level result and secondary school testimonial.
- Academic Performance: A Transcript or Result Statement indicating the CGPA results clearly
