About the Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship

The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK (CSC) is a scholarship program led by the UK government with international development objectives. It operates under the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) and showcases the UK’s unwavering commitment to the Commonwealth. By attracting talented and capable individuals from diverse backgrounds, and supporting them to become leaders and innovators when they return to their home countries, the CSC’s work promotes sustainable development while serving the UK’s national interests. Additionally, it contributes to international partnerships and collaboration.

The program is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships, which are part of this program, provide access to training and skills needed for sustainable development that are not available in home countries to talented and motivated individuals.
