University of York GREAT Scholarship for Postgraduate Students 2024.

Applications are now being accepted for the University of York Great Scholarship for postgraduate students for the year 2024. In collaboration with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, the University of York is offering five scholarships to international students who are interested in pursuing a range of postgraduate programs. 

The GREAT Scholarship 2024 initiative, which the British Council is launching in partnership with 72 universities in the UK, is aimed at providing support to postgraduate students from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, Greece, Kenya, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam so that they can access world-class higher education opportunities in the UK.

The application deadline for the University of York Great Scholarship for postgraduate students is May 20, 2024. 

Scholarship Benefits

The University of York Great Scholarship for postgraduate students offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study in the UK

Eligibility Requirements for the University of York Great Scholarship

Furthermore, applicants who want to register for the University of York Great Scholarship

in the UK must meet the following requirements: 

• Must be a citizen of China, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand and Turkey 
• Must be paying fees at the overseas fee rate (any fee assessments must be completed by 20 May 2024
• Must have met any language condition of your offer by 20 May 2024
• Must have a conditional or unconditional offer to study a one-year postgraduate taught course at the University of York by 20 May 2024 (you don’t need to have accepted the offer). Students from Nigeria are eligible to apply if they have an offer to study one of the below courses:

• LLM Law
• LLM Art Law
• LLM International Corporate and Commercial Law
• LLM International Human Rights Law and Practice
• LLM Legal and Political Theory
• MA Applied Human Rights

Note  that you will not be eligible if:

• You hold a 100 percent tuition fee scholarship or are fully sponsored.
• You are a current student of the University of York, having started your studies in the previous year.

Additionally, students on the following pathways are not eligible for these scholarships:

• Hull York Medical School
• International Pathway College
• Distance/online learning courses
• Part-time courses
• Kaplan International College London
• GEMMA, CASPPER, and Mundus MAPP
• Master’s courses last longer than one year.
