What do the Transform Together Scholarships offer?

  • Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarships: Receive a half-fee waiver (50% discount) on tuition fees.
  • Duration: For undergraduates, the scholarship applies to the first year of study only.

What are the eligibility criteria?

You can apply for a Transform Together Scholarship if you meet the following criteria:

  • Admission: Have been offered a place on a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught course at Sheffield Hallam University starting in September 2024.
  • Fee Status: Are you classified as an international fee-paying student?
  • Self-financing: Are you fully self-financing your studies without external funding from sources such as the government, scholarship providers, companies, or employers? Funding from family or friends is considered self-financed.
  • Financial Capability: You can pay the remainder of your tuition fees and any additional course fees (e.g., for field trips).
  • Academic and English Requirements: Meet the course-specific academic and English language requirements.

Additional requirements for postgraduate applicants:

  • Academic Achievement: Hold at least a 2.1 or equivalent in your undergraduate degree.
  • First-time Postgraduate Student: Be entering postgraduate study for the first time and do not hold any previous postgraduate qualifications from the UK or overseas.

Ineligibility

You cannot apply if you:

  • Are already enrolled in the course for which you are applying for a scholarship?
  • Have previously received a Transform Together Scholarship at the same level of study.
  • Are applying to study at a partner institution outside the UK.
  • Are applying for a foundation programme (you can apply for the scholarship upon progressing to an undergraduate degree course).

How do I apply?

Applications for courses starting in September 2024 are currently being accepted. Follow these steps to apply:

Your student identifier (SI) number—an eight-digit number you receive after processing your course application—must be entered into the scholarship application form. Make sure your scholarship application form mentions this number.

What next?

Successful applicants will be notified by the end of June 2024 via email. The scholarship will be applied as a reduction in fees. Due to the volume of applications, individual feedback on unsuccessful applications will not be provided.
