The Board of Admissions annually awards the Presidential Scholarship to incoming first-year students who show outstanding academic achievement. In addition to being among the most academically talented students in the school, Presidential Scholars demonstrate excellence beyond the classroom and are leaders in their schools and communities. Also, this $25,000 tuition scholarship is renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study at BU.

Who can Apply?

Interested applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible: 

• Rank in the top 5% of their high school class
• Have shown incredible extracurricular achievements in their schools and communities

Furthermore, although test scores are not required, students who submit scores typically:

• Have SAT scores above 1500 and ACT scores above 33
• Be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and eligible non-citizens are considered for all merit awards and other scholarships.
• International students are considered for the Trustee and Presidential Scholarships only.
