Tell Me About The Ruforum/Mastercard Foundation Tagdev Scholarships For African Students:
The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM), in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation and other African countries, is implementing a 10-year program called Transforming African Agricultural Universities to Meaningfully Contribute to Africa’s Growth and Development (TAGDev 2.0) from 2023 to 2033.
Additionally, the program aims to strengthen universities and TVET institutions to better serve communities by providing skills and empowering Africa’s young people and their institutions to drive an inclusive, equitable, and climate-resilient transformation of agriculture and agrifood systems. The program will support economically disadvantaged but academically competent young African students to enable them to complete their studies.
The scholarship is open to both female and male applicants. However, applications from females, refugees, and persons with disabilities are highly encouraged. Scholarships for the 2024/2025 academic year are only available at Gulu University in Uganda and Egerton University in Kenya.
