The DDSA Visit Grant, offered by the Danish Data Science Academy, aims to attract students and researchers from around the world to visit data science research environments in Denmark. The grant’s purpose is to encourage potential future DDSA fellowship applications in collaboration with Danish universities or research institutions.

Application is open to Danish and international students in a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree program, PhD students, and postdoctoral researchers. You must be enrolled or employed at a university at the time of the planned visit, or your visit must take place within one year of having completed your enrolment or employment at the university.
Applications will be evaluated on the following criteria:
Applications may be submitted at any time throughout the year and will be processed within 6 weeks. Please note that your application must be submitted before the planned activity begins. Each applicant may receive one grant per year. Supervisors may host up to 3 visiting applicants per calendar year.

The grant provides up to DKK 15,000 to cover expenses related to travel, accommodation, and other related costs. The grant does not include salary, daily allowances, food expenses, or local transportation. In general, DDSA encourages the use of public transport and recommends using trains or buses whenever possible. The use of a private vehicle is only permitted if it is more cost-effective and time-efficient, and each case will be evaluated individually.
