Who can Apply for the European Commission Intra Africa Scholarship?
Students who reside in Africa and are nationals of an African country, can apply for:
#1. Master or Doctoral Level Mobility:
To qualify, you must be registered with or admitted to a Higher Education Institution established in Africa or have obtained a university degree from such an institution.ย
This mobility option can be either short-term or for the entire duration of an academic programme.
#2. Traineeship Mobility:
To qualify, you must be enrolled in a Bachelor/Master/PhD programme at one of the African Higher Education Institutions participating in the Intra-Africa consortia selected as of 2023.
Trainees will engage in placement periods with private or public organizations in a country different from their nationality and residence.
The projects selected in 2019 and 2020 may also offer traineeship opportunities, as part of the mobility period for Master or Doctoral studies.ย
#3. Staff mobility:
This is available for Academic, Administrative, and Technical Staff members working in Higher Education Institutions participating in the Intra-Africa consortia.
Activities may include teaching assignments, research, administrative tasks, attendance in/delivery of training courses, curriculum development, technical support, and more.
