Canon Collins Trust, in partnership with the Ros Moger and Terry Furlong group, is inviting applications for postgraduate studies in South Africa for the year 2025. Ros and Terry were inspirational educationalists from London. Since 2001, friends and family have raised funds in their memory to award scholarships in their name. 

Additionally, Canon Collins Trust, in partnership with RMTF, aims to support exceptional individuals who are committed to social justice in southern Africa, and for whom a postgraduate qualification is an essential tool in working to create an open and just society.

This opportunity is open to students studying in the following areas:

• Justice, which includes Climate Justice, Law, Economics and Politics
• Education policy and practice
• Humanities, which includes Literature, History, Anthropology and the Arts

Who can Apply for the Canon Collins RMTF Scholarships 2024?

Interested applicants must meet the following criteria:  to be considered for this scholarship:

• Be a national of, or have refugee status in, one of the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Swaziland, and Zambia.
• Be normally resident in one of the above countries.
• Possess a good first degree (minimum second class, upper division, or equivalent) or be about to graduate in the year of application.
• Be studying or applying to study at a South African university.

• Scholarships cover up to two years for Masters and three years for PhD studies, with values ranging from R20,000 to R100,000, supporting full-time, part-time, and distance learning.
• Scholarship holders are to participate in an annual conference and several smaller events throughout the year, joining a network dedicated to social justice
