The Move La América Program aims to complement the internationalization efforts of Brazilian Higher Education Institutions by attracting students linked to foreign teaching and research institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean, allowing for the strengthening of Postgraduate Programs (PPG) and the creation of an international institutional environment.

The Program will grant scholarships to Master’s or Doctorate students linked to foreign teaching and research institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean, in the master’s and sandwich doctorate modalities in Brazil, with a view to carrying out internships, research, extension activities and, eventually, taking courses in Postgraduate Programs (PPG) from Brazilian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Federal Institutes or Research Institutes, always in areas related to their field of activity.
Specific objectives
I – complement the internationalization efforts of Brazilian HEIs by attracting foreign students, allowing the strengthening of PPGs and the creation of an international institutional environment;
II – stimulate internationalization initiatives of Brazilian Higher Education Institutions;
III – support the creation and strengthening of cooperation and exchange programs between Higher Education Institutions in Brazil and abroad;
IV – encourage the creation of partnerships and the initiation or consolidation of international research networks;
V – increase the level of collaboration and joint publications between the academic community operating in Brazil and abroad;
VI – provide greater international visibility to Brazilian scientific, technological and cultural production; It is
VII- allow Brazilian students and teachers to contact researchers working abroad.
