Table of Contents
One World Media is seeking an experienced filmmaker to create a short documentary exploring the impact of climate change on lives and work in the global south, with a particular focus on the economic transition. They aim to highlight new perspectives, stories, and voices related to our changing climate.
Moreover, through Pulitzer’s Our Work/Environment initiative, journalists have already documented the risks of rising temperatures for workers in fields and factories. Over the past two years, reporters have traveled to various countries, including India, Nigeria, Ghana, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uruguay, Paraguay, and South Africa, to study the effects of extreme heat and weather on vulnerable workers, particularly women who are often heads of households. We are looking for stories that illustrate the interconnected nature of business, climate, and consumer choices, and emphasize worker and company perspectives as well as accountability reporting.
