The application deadline for the CMPA Equity Research Scholarship 2024 at the University of Toronto is August 16, 2024.

Tell Me About The CMPA Equity Research Scholarship:

The Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) commits to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). They also recognize the systemic barriers, inequities, and socioeconomic challenges that medical conference participants who are underrepresented may face. As such, we are taking steps to help increase the ability of individuals from equity-deserving groups to contribute their research and knowledge to the healthcare field.

Additionally, CMPA will provide a total of three (3) equity scholarships to attend the 2024 Family Medicine Forum (FMF) in Vancouver, BC from November 6-9, 2024. The scholarship will also cover individual registration fees (any category) only. Additional costs, such as travel, accommodations, meals, incidentals, etc., are not covered by the scholarship.

How to Apply:

To apply for the CMPA Equity Scholarship complete the following steps:

• Write a brief response to how your participation at FMF 2024 would benefit your future and why this is important for you (max 400 words).
• Include your current résumé.
• Submit your application in English or French to advocacy@cmpa.org by August 16, 2024. Successful applicants will be notified by August 30, 2024.

A selection panel will review each application and award a scholarship based on need and the application package submitted. If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to advocacy@cmpa.org.
