The European Union and Global Youth Mobilization (GYM) are inviting young people to apply for the EU Youth Empowerment Fund by July 21. This fund supports innovative local projects that help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Also, the fund offers small grants for community projects by individuals or youth groups, especially those from under-represented backgrounds, including disadvantaged, gender equality issues, or disabled young people. Individuals and informal groups can get 500 to 1500 EUR, while registered youth organizations can receive 3000 to 5000 EUR.

- Young people aged 14 to 30 from countries eligible for Official Development Assistance can apply
- Applicants should be young individuals, informal groups, or registered youth-led organizations
Eligible Projects:
- Projects should also be addressing global challenges aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- Focus Areas: Projects by or for underrepresented young people and groups, including young people in challenging circumstances, those from lower socio-economic backgrounds, and individuals facing barriers related to gender or disability
- Projects addressing climate change and environmental sustainability
How are Applicants Selected?
Additionally, the selection process will involve Youth panelists who will review, score, and discuss applications in panel meetings. The Youth Panel is composed of diverse young individuals from around the world who have experience in social projects and understand the challenges and needs of youth-led initiatives. Applicants will be notified within 2 months if their project is selected and will be asked to sign a grant agreement and submit their banking information. Unsuccessful applicants will receive recommendations on areas for improvement by email to help strengthen their future submissions.
