This scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student undertaking research in platform/digital media. Also, the successful applicant will undertake their research as part of the funded Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery project, “Australian Experiences of Algorithmic Culture on TikTok”.

- be enrolled, intending to apply, apply for admission, have a conditional or have an unconditional offer to a PhD within the School of Art, Communication, and English
- conduct research in platform/digital media
- hold an honors degree (first class or second class upper) or equivalent, or master’s degree in media studies, communication, digital media, digital cultures, or related fields.
