This scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student undertaking research in platform/digital media. Also, the successful applicant will undertake their research as part of the funded Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery project, “Australian Experiences of Algorithmic Culture on TikTok”.

Also, interested candidates should meet the following eligibility criteria:

• be enrolled, intending to apply, apply for admission, have a conditional or have an unconditional offer to a PhD within the School of Art, Communication, and English
• conduct research in platform/digital media
• hold an honors degree (first class or second class upper) or equivalent, or master’s degree in media studies, communication, digital media, digital cultures, or related fields.
