Top Scholarships in China Approaching Deadlines in July/August 2024

#1. Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT)

Deadline: July 15 and October 15, 2024

To deepen the academic friendship and mutual understanding between the Chinese and foreign young generations and to build a platform for the international exchanges and cooperation of young talents, the China Scholarship Council (CSC) has established the China Link Scholarship Program for international students and faculty members hoping to engage in academic and research activities in China. Appendix 1 contains the details of the program introduction.

Successful applicants will receive a full scholarship from CSC during their stay in China, including tuition, on-campus accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance, and a monthly stipend (CNY 3,000 for general scholars; CNY 3,500 for senior scholars).

#2. Jilin Government Scholarship

Deadline: September 15, 2024

To meet the growing international demand for Chinese language teachers, facilitate Chinese language education around the world, and support the professional development of Chinese language teachers, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) has established the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship (hereinafter referred to as the Scholarship) for eligible Chinese language teachers outside of China.

Confucius Institutes, independent Confucius Classrooms, selected HSK test centers, foreign educational institutions, Chinese language teacher training programs and Chinese departments at foreign universities, professional associations for Chinese language teaching, and Chinese embassies (consulates) abroad (hereinafter collectively referred to as Recommending Institutions) may recommend outstanding students and in-service Chinese language teachers to further their studies in international Chinese language education and related programs at Chinese universities (hereinafter referred to as Host Institutions).

As one of the host institutions, Jilin University (JLU) invites students and teachers from all other countries to apply for the scholarship and study with us.

#3. Guangdong University of Technology

Deadline: August 31, 2024

Both Zhejiang University of Technology and Guangdong University of Technology provide Chinese language courses, with an August 31 application deadline. Students who want to experience the dynamic culture and cutting-edge atmosphere of Chinese institutions while also improving their language proficiency can enroll in one of these programs.

Applicants with outstanding academic achievements, leadership qualities, and special talents can apply for the Guangdong Government Outstanding International Student Scholarship.
