African creatives in the digital creative space are invited to submit calls for the 2024 edition of the Fak’ugesi Awards.

About the Fak’ugesi Awards

The awards are designed to honor creatives in different categories, including music, animation, video games, XR (AR, VR), visual arts, and, for the first time, design.

Requirements

  1. Applicants must be 18 years or older, and reside in any African country.
  2. The submitted work must be your/their own.
  3. Applicants must have a fully completed project (material/project must have been shown publicly).
  4. An application must be made in one category.
  5. The project or material must have been created between present and 2023.
  6. All submissions in which intellectual property rights are jointly owned must be submitted with the full written consent of all rights holders concerned.
  7. Open to all individuals/companies who wish to apply.

Applications are open, and creatives can submit their projects here(link is external) until August 15th. Nominations can be made here(link is external) before August 1, and their industry leading jury will be announced on August 26.
