Tell Me About The Royal Academy of Engineering Science and Technology Venture Capital Fellowship:

This 12-month fellowship has been designed to enhance investor capability in identifying and deploying capital into high-potential, scalable, life science and deep tech ventures. The fellowship targets mid-level VC investors and related investment professionals, as well as recently exited entrepreneurs transitioning into VC, who are interested in enhancing their ability to manage Venture Capital funds specialized in supporting science and engineering-based portfolio companies. Also, the program’s goal is to provide knowledge and leadership development, paired with experiential learning, mentoring, and networking opportunities — to support the development of a strong talent pipeline in science and technology Venture Capital investment in the UK.

Who can Apply for the Royal Academy of Engineering Science and Technology Venture Capital Fellowship?

The program targets mid-level VC investors, investment professionals, and recently exited entrepreneurs transitioning into VC, who want to enhance their ability to manage venture capital funds in the science and engineering sectors. To be eligible, applicants must:

• Be based in the UK.
• Work in a UK-based VC firm, pension fund, institutional investor, or be an exited founder with Series B+ equity funding experience.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of engagement in the UK VC ecosystem.
• Have support from their firm or prospective employer to join the program.

Successful applicants will need to contribute £15,000 towards the Fellowship, typically covered by the employer. Scholarships may be available for those without employer sponsorship.
