Tell Me About The ICFO Fellowship:
The Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO) offers various internship programs for talented and motivated undergraduate and master’s students interested in undertaking a project with one of our research groups.
Additionally, students are incorporated into a research group, join a lively student community, and have the opportunity to learn about new and exciting areas of science, novel technologies, and innovative ideas across many different research fields.
Students may join through our dedicated fellowship programs or undertake a research stay to complete a project, or undergraduate or master’s thesis with one of our research groups.

- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s program during the internship at ICFO.
- Relevant fields include Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
- Selection is based on academic records, personal achievements, proactive attitudes, community involvement, and teamwork skills.
- Selection is solely based on merit and potential.
- No restrictions related to disabilities, citizenship, or gender.

What is the Benefit of the ICFO Fellowship?
Also, successful students will benefit the following:
For Undergraduate and Masters.
- For students living in Catalunya, the fellowship includes a stipend of 300 euros monthly gross.
- For students who do not live in Catalunya, the fellowship includes a stipend of 600 euros monthly gross, for full-time dedication.
- Eligible travel expenses are also covered.
