The scholarship is administered by The Destiny Trust, a social intervention organization focused on the education, well-being, and empowerment of children and young people from vulnerable groups.

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Academic Merit: Provide standardized test grades (A1) in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and other core science subjects from the West African Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent.
• Leadership Potential: Demonstrate leadership with a track record in volunteering, community service, and personal integrity. Provide documentation verifying underrepresented status.
• Economic Disadvantage: Must belong to one or more of the following groups: first-generation undergraduates from low-income families, orphans, housing-insecure, or displaced youths who completed basic education through resilience.
