GREAT Scholarships 2025 International Students to Study in Great Britain

The GREAT Scholarships, provided by the British Council and the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign, support prospective students from 18 countries enrolling in UK higher education institutions in 2025.

Tell Me About the Award:

The GREAT Scholarships 2025 HEI Registration program is a British Council program to provide scholarships to overseas students in association with the UK’s GREAT Britain campaign. With the help of these program, deserving candidates should be able to enroll in one-year taught master’s programs at UK higher education institutions.

They are jointly funded by the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign and the British Council with participating UK higher education institutions, targeting prospective students from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, France, Ghana, Greece, Kenya, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Spain, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam, who will enrol into UK higher education institutions in the autumn of 2025.

Which Fields are Eligible?

All subjects, with specifics for Justice and Law, Science and Technology.

Type:

Postgraduate taught (one-year master’s only) funding.

• Passport holders and residents of targeted countries.
• Enrolled in UK higher education institutions.

Based on institutional bids and program criteria.

• October 2024: Production of campaign promotional materials and landing pages.
• November 2024: Launch of the GREAT Scholarships campaign.
• January – February 2025: Grant agreements signed and funding issued.
• 30 June 2025: Scholarships issued to winning scholars for the 2025 autumn intake.
• June – July 2025: Pre-departure briefings for scholars
