The NYDA/CETA 36 Months Bricklaying and Plumbing Apprenticeship Programme is an initiative by the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) in partnership with the Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA). It aims to equip unemployed youth in the Northern Cape with critical skills in bricklaying and plumbing to enhance the construction sector’s capacity, making it economically sustainable and globally competitive.

Who can Apply for the NYDA/CETA Apprenticeship Programme?

  • Must be between the ages of 18-35 years
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must have Grade 12/Technical Matric/N2 in Bricklaying or Plumbing
  • Must submit a certified Identity document
  • Must be unemployed and never participated in any apprenticeship programme
  • Must be available for the full duration of the programme (36 months)
  • Must submit a Curriculum Vitae (CV)
