HELB 450k Postgraduate Scholarship Application for Kenyan Students 2024/2025

The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) invites applications for the 2024-2025 Postgraduate partial scholarships from Kenyan students enrolled in Masters and PhD programs at local Public or Private Universities recognized by the Commission for University Education (CUE). The scholarship awards are valued at Kshs. 200,000 for Masters programs and Kshs. 450,000 for PhD programs, tenable for 2 years for Masters and 3 years for PhD programs.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Admission: Must have a letter of admission into a full or part-time program in a local public or private university recognized by CUE.
  • Academic Requirements: Minimum of Second-Class Upper Division. Preference will be given to applicants undertaking Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture, and Mathematics (STEAM) courses.
  • Loan Repayment: If the applicant is a HELB loan beneficiary, they must be repaying their loan or have cleared it.

How to Apply for the HELB Postgraduate Scholarship

  1. Registration: Applicants should register and access the 2024/2025 Postgraduate Scholarship Application form HERE..
  2. Completion: Duly complete the application form and submit it online.
  3. Application Fee: Pay a non-refundable application fee of KShs. 3,000 via E-CITIZEN once prompted after clicking the payment tab on the portal.

Important Notes

  • Do not pay any individual to process your HELB Postgraduate Scholarship Application.
  • Persons with special needs and from marginalized counties are encouraged to apply.
  • Application Deadline: 31st August 2024
