- Up to three years for a PhD recipient, with a possible six-month extension
- Up to two years for a master’s by research recipient who began studies before 1 January 2019
- Up to 1.75 years for a master’s by research recipient who began studies on or after 1 January 2019
- For part-time students, 50% of the full-time stipend rate for the equivalent full-time study load duration
