Tell Me About The International Youth Math Challenge:
The International Youth Math Challenge is an international mathematics competition that enables students from all countries to prove their math skills and unleash their creativity.
- Qualification Round: The qualification round 2024 consists of five math problems. To qualify for the pre-final round, you need to solve at least three (under 18) to four (over 18) of the problems correctly. You can submit your solutions online until 15. December 2024. All participants receive certificates.
- Pre-Final Round: Successful participants can register for the pre-final round in October. You have four days to solve 10 problems in the pre-final round. The registration costs are 8 EUR to make this competition possible: Learn More
- Final Round: Successful finalists can participate in the final round: You will take an online exam supervised by your teacher. The winners receive certificates and cash prizes worth over 700 USD

Who can Apply For The International Youth Math Challenge?
Also, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- You must be at least 10 years old and currently a student (high school or university) to participate.
- Students from all grades and countries are invited, with no additional restrictions.
- There are two age categories:
- Junior (under 18): Ages 10 to 17 years.
- Youth (over 18): Ages 18 years and older.
- Students in both categories will receive the same problems, but those 18 and older must solve more problems to qualify for the pre-final round (four problems) compared to those under 18 (three problems).
- Age is determined by your age on the submission deadline of the qualification round (December 15, 2024). If you turn 18 after the deadline, you remain in the Junior category.
- You must be a student in high school or university to participate. If you are between high school and university (e.g., in a gap year) and plan to start university soon, you are still eligible
