- Most master’s and PhD programs at the University of Manitoba, excluding:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Master of Finance (MFin)
- Master of Supply Chain Management (MSCM)

Who can Apply for the University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship (UMGF)?
- Students must:
- Have a minimum admission GPA of 3.0 (specific departments may have higher GPA requirements)
- Be admitted to a graduate program (Master’s or Ph.D.) at the University of Manitoba
- Be registered full-time in the graduate program recommended by their department for the UMGF
- Not be in a pre-master’s or occasional student status
How are Applicants Selected?
- Departments or units recommend students to the Faculty of Graduate Studies based on academic excellence. The final selection is made by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, which notifies recipients via an official letter.

- Doctoral: 12, 24, 36, or 48 months, depending on the duration of the program and the time completed
