The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is announcing teacher training positions for the Teaching Diploma in Early, Basic and Special Education.
The training that will be offered is a Diploma in Teaching Early, Primary Education, Special Education (02 years) and a Special Diploma in Teaching Primary Education (03 years) in science, mathematics and IT subjects. Applicants for teacher training for a Teaching Diploma in Primary, Basic and Special Education (02 years) are Sixth Form graduates with Grades One to Three (I-III) and Teacher Education graduates at the level of Diploma.
Applicants for teaching training for the Special Teaching Diploma in Primary Education (03 years) in science, mathematics and IT subjects are fourth form graduates with grades one to three (I-III). This training will be provided in Government colleges and non-Government colleges. Non-Government teaching colleges will provide this training after submitting an application and obtaining it approval of the Commissioner of Education. The Ministry invites applications to join the teaching training in Government and non-Government Colleges based on the qualifications specified in this announcement.

a) Qualifications to join the Teaching Diploma in Early, Primary and Special Education (02 years) are:
b) Qualifications for admission to the Special Teaching Diploma in Primary Education (03 years) in Science, Mathematics and IT subjects are graduates of the fourth Form with grades I-III with a grade of “C” or higher in the subjects three, two of which are: Basic Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Information and Computer Studies or Computer Science.

(i) Graduates of the fourth form, sixth form and teachers who have graduated with a Teaching Diploma in Primary and Primary Education, with the qualifications specified in this Announcement are allowed to apply;
(ii) Applicants for Teacher Training in Government Teaching Colleges are required to register and send applications electronically through the admission system of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology ( Click here to join );
(iii) Applicants for Teacher Training for non-Government colleges should send their applications directly to the colleges they want to study and the relevant colleges should submit the qualifications of the applicants to the Tanzania Examinations Council for review;
(iv) The applicant for Teacher training for the Teaching Diploma in Primary and Primary Education (02 years) will choose three (03) courses starting with the one he likes the most;
(v) The applicant for the Teacher training for the Special Diploma in Primary Education (03 years) will choose three (03) specializations starting with the one he likes the most;
(vi) Answers for those who will be selected to join the Teaching Training in the Government Teaching Colleges will be provided in the system through “account” used by the applicant to apply for Teacher Training (from date 25/08/2024) and in the Teaching Colleges they were selected;
(vii) Forms to join the Training will be provided through the website of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology ( www.moe.go.tz ) and the College that will be arranged for the applicant using his address. All applicants are advised to write the full address, email address and telephone number available for further communication; and
(viii) Answers and forms to join the College for those who will be selected to join the Teaching Training in non-Government Teaching Colleges will be provided by the respective colleges.
