The University of Bayreuth Centre of International Excellence “Alexander von Humboldt” promotes excellent research at the University of Bayreuth (UBT) and advances the internationalization of research and networking with the best universities worldwide. All Fellows will have the awarded sum at their disposal to cover all costs of project realization. Fellows accompanied by at least one child receive an additional monthly family allowance of 250€.

Additionally, applicants will benefit the following:
- Junior Fellowships: Award sum of 20,000€
- Senior Fellowships: Award sum of 40,000€
- Short-Term Grants: Reimbursement of travel and accommodation expenses up to 3,500€
Additional monthly family allowance of 250€ for Fellows accompanied by at least one child.
How Long Will the Award Last?
Fellowships last for approximately 3 to 6 months, with the possibility of dividing the stay into several stages. Also, short-term grants last for about 1 to 3 weeks.
