The SI Scholarship for Global Professionals is a fully-funded academic scholarship for full-time master’s studies in Sweden. It aims to build a network of future global leaders who contribute to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the development of their home countries.
Over 700 English-taught master’s programmes across various fields, including humanities, agricultural science, medicine and public health, natural science, social science, and technology.
Applicants must be citizens of one of the 41 eligible countries, liable to pay tuition fees in Sweden, and have relevant work and leadership experience.
Selection is based on academic background, leadership experience, work experience, and the potential to contribute to the sustainable development of the applicant’s home country.
Citizens from 41 countries including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Brazil, Cambodia, Cameroon, Colombia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
The scholarship will be taken in Sweden.
The exact number of scholarships awarded varies each year.
The scholarship covers full tuition fees, a monthly allowance of SEK 12,000, insurance, a travel grant of SEK 15,000 (SEK 10,000 for certain countries), and membership in the SI Network for Future Global Professionals.
The scholarship lasts for the duration of the master’s programme, which is typically one or two years.
Applicants must apply for eligible master’s programmes through University Admissions between October 2024 and January 2025. Once admitted, they can apply for the SI Scholarship through the SI application portal in February 2025.
