The 2024 University of Cape Town Masters Scholarship is open for applications from candidates for a graduate program through the African Centre for Cities (ACC).

The African Centre for Cities (ACC) is offering two Masters scholarships as part of the CLAIMS to Energy Citizenship project, funded by DANIDA (2024-2028). The project focuses on energy transitions in South Africa, covering topics such as everyday practices related to energy access, sub-national state processes in energy system transitions, and crafting a multi-scalar view of infrastructural citizenship.
Masters Scholarship
Applicants must hold a four-year Bachelor’s degree (undergraduate + Honours) or another Masters degree by the time of registration in February 2025. Candidates should be interested in urban infrastructure and energy access issues in South Africa.
Selection will be based on academic ability, with scholarships awarded by a committee consisting of the Project Principal Investigator, the lead researcher, and two external ACC representatives.
