The University of Manchester, through the Global Futures Scholarships, is proud to offer more than 330 awards to international students commencing their studies in September 2025. These scholarships provide significant financial support to talented African students to study in the UK.
When is the Application Deadline?
For A-Level, IB, or NCUK IFY students: April 24, 2025.
For South African NSC/IEB, November series A-Level students, or those already holding results: March 13, 2025.
Master’s program applicants: April 25, 2025.

Tell Me About The Global Futures Scholarships:
The University of Manchester offers over 330 Global Futures Scholarships for international students starting in September 2025. The scholarships, totaling over £4.5 million, support undergraduate and master’s students from eligible countries with tuition fee discounts based on academic merit and other criteria.
Which Fields are Eligible?
Most undergraduate and master’s courses, except:
Medicine (MBChB), Dentistry (BDS), Architecture, or courses with an integrated foundation year (undergraduate).
MBA, MPhil, Master of Architecture (MArch), Architecture and Urbanism (MA), Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA), Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Clinical Medicine, Dentistry, and some ‘Master’s by Research’ courses (master’s).

Who can Apply for the Global Futures Scholarships?
International fee-paying students domiciled in Nigeria, Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Egypt. Applicants must:
Reside in one of the eligible countries for at least three years.
Apply for direct first-year entry in 2025 (undergraduate).
Hold an unconditional offer for a full-time master’s course starting in September 2025 (master’s).
How are Applicants Selected?
Selection is based on:
Academic merit, predicted grades, and personal statements (undergraduate).
Academic excellence and quality of responses in the online application form (master’s). Efforts are made to achieve a balance by gender, domicile, qualification type, and course of study.
